My old flooring has different colors of wood and the filler is coming up different shades on the wood when I stain it. What can I do to make the filler the same color as each piece of the wood as I stain it? Carol S.

I've had this Homelite Bandit sx-135 for years. Generally a good little machine ... Fired it up today, started normally. Ran OK for maybe 2 minutes, then wouldn't take gas, finally died. Added lots of gas. Same result.

I got a quote for a nw heating system tha is reasonable; $5500 for an new Wheil McClean oiler plus asbestos removal. The old boiler is a coal converted burnham. The advantage of the old system is that it keeps the cellar warm in the winter and my wife does

Folks, I drifted by my mom's house (she's 86) a few days ago and she had been busily sweeping water out the backdoor for about an hour. The icemaker line sprung a pinhole leak about 2 inches above the floor behind the refrigerator.

I recently had to replace a large 85 gallon electric water heater. The orginal one, circa 1982 was being used on an off peak electric meter. The lower element was wired to the off peak circuit, activated from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM by the meter. The top element cycled as usual

has anyone purchased a Ventless Combo Washer Dryer? at least LG (Tromm) and Asko makes them, they are claimed to save electric use also due to the fact they are ventless (thus no removal of indoor air where the HVAC system has to work harder)
