Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I can get the upstairs cooler, the ac works great on the first floor but it stays too darn hot in the bedrooms upstairs. I have a 2,300 sq ft colonial. Thanks for any help!

Will different brands of remotes work if frequency is the same? What latitude of frequency is tolerated? My remote is a Overhead Door single button 360khz unit that needs to be replaced.

I've actually used a *comb* on automotive radiators with marginal results, but the fins on an a residential AC condenser are much closer together. They sell the combs for condesners, but do they work?

We are finishing our basement and have a problem with one of our window wells. If we cut it out to spec, then it protrudes directly into our driveway (which is already narrow). We have thought of a couple solutions and would like to hear advice or opinions.

Just installed a new ceiling fan.....the fan works fine but after it runs for a while.....we are smelling a paint burning smell. The fan is flush mount so the motor is encased and it feels rather hot. Is this anything to be concerned about? We are hoping the paint burning
