The saddle on my bathroom floor has cracked, can anyone tell me the best
procedure to replace and make sure this doesn't happen again?

Arrived home from work & wife in a real bad mood; Sky was not working.
Changed batteries in handset and now all is okay except that you cannot
adjust the volume from the Sky handset ........ works okay on the TV handset
though.

I am a new home owner and I would like to get started on things like
shelving projects etc.   I am looking for a laser level that can emit
a reasonably far (not just 3 - 5) but won't be too expensive either.  
Saw some brands like Craftsman and B&D.

Also, how do you feel about these locks? Looking for good, solid,

My guest bath tub is not getting hot water. We don't use it that often
but the last time we used it had hot water. The sink in the same
bathroom gets hotwater only the shower doesn't.

Wife wants to use short portions of PVC (I think, it's white) pipe for
some art project, how do I get the printing off pipe.  I thought
Alcohol would work, but it doesn't.  Also tried "goof off" and latex
paint remover, no luck.   Obviously I could sand it off, but don't

Hi all, I lost elect. power yesterday for several minutes and when
it came back on my built in oven was flashing zeros where my control
display is. Is there a proper way to "reset" these type ovens. It came
with the house and I have no paperwork.

I have a problem. Seems there are no companies that make custom color rain
gutters to match my facsia. I was thinking of copper till I got the price! The
guy came out from a gutter company which offers them in seamless at a great
price but the colors were all wrong. Any ideas?

A few years ago, oh.. I think probably 6 or 7 years ago, I fixed the
plumbing of this toilet in a rental I owned.  Or so do I think.  This
is the downstairs unit of a two family house which was built in the
1940's, it not earlier.

Last week I had my front steps repointed where the old mortar had worn
away.They are about 20 years old. The new mortar is so much lighter in
color than the old.I was hoping the mason would mix a mortar to match
the old stuff, but he didn't and now I am thinking about what I can do

I manage the maintenance for a 100 year old school...I call Roto
Rooter a lot, but a few times have had success with an electrically
powered snake...our old snake is broken...anybody got a reco of what
brand of new one to get?...what should I expect to pay?...what length
