Vinyl kitchen flooring13 Feb 2004 07:27 GMT5
I just had new vinyl flooring installed in my kitchen.
The old vinyl had yellowing underneath three rugs.  They were braided
rugs.  Today I purchased new rugs with rubberized backing, and now a
friend told me she had yellowing on her vinyl due to rubberized backing.

After I call the electrician, what will s/he actually do to upgrade
the service in my house to 200A ?  Other than change the master
breaker, does anything else happen with the panel, or anything go on
between the house and the pole? Among other things I'm tired of lights
Subfloor repair question13 Feb 2004 03:36 GMT1
I'm in the midst of a bathroom remodel on my 1910 house, thanks to
everyone for their responses to my previous queries.  I had to repair
some water damage to the subfloor, and before I cover it up with 3/8"
underlayment for natural linoleum, I have a couple questions.

I've got a D.e.f.y Dishmaid Dishwasher.  It has recently stopped filling up
sufficiently with water.  The water level barely reaches the base of the

Water Heater FAQ?12 Feb 2004 22:26 GMT4
40 gallon electric GE (Rheem) unit, installed in August, still (of
course) under warranty, for whatever that's worth.
Water seems hot enough initially, but by halfway through a shower I have
to set the control to fully hot, and it's barely lukewarm.  I live

I'm located in Brooklyn, in the Bensonhurst/Gravesend area. Looking
for a good G.C. willing to do a true gut renovation of a two family
house. I am serious about the work getting done and am looking to
start ASAP. If you have someone to recommend, please post a response
Ground Fault Outlet - Tripping12 Feb 2004 19:11 GMT11
I'm having a weird problem with the ground fault outlet (3 prong) in
my garage.  It works fine if I have something plugged into the top
outlet.  When I plug something into the bottom outlet, it trips the
breaker.  I have replaced it with a new one and it's doing the same

That luan or wonderboard seems the best way to go. How do you attach it to
the underfloor, nails or glue?
