Here's the scenario.   After using an electric fryer for an hour, all of the

receptacle that was being used.  Lights are controlled by 3 different
switches.  All check fine.  Bulbs are good.  I checked every ...

I will be installing "beaded" plywood, 1/4 in., as a ceiling for a

"deck wood screws" to install the ceiling so if I need to get access
above again I can simply unscrew it.  How close would the screws
Brass faucet dull, yellowed23 Dec 2003 12:45 GMT2
This is an old porcelain base sink with hot and cold faucets, which were
"new" fittings in the 1970s. There was some build-up on one which I was
removing with a soak in CLR, but I got distracted and left it in longer
than I intended. The faucet now has a dull, flat yellowish ...

Any major advantage in electronic ballasts (vs magnetic)23 Dec 2003 05:59 GMT4
One of my 8' duplex fluorescent garage fixtures appears to have died.
I suspect the ballast went "tits up" since the bulb set work fine in
the next fixture over.
I see that replacement ballasts come in a choice of magnetic vs.

Gas range control replacement23 Dec 2003 03:28 GMT5
I have a GE XL44 gas stove with 4 burners. The valve, second from the right,
is the maximum output burner. This valve seems to be shot. It does not have
the  tension on it that the others do and will only light if I crank it up
full to get some gas, then down to the ignition to ...

I have an Electrolux vaccume epic 3000 sr, that is not creating enough

to go much more than 2 feet.  I have called three plumbers and the closest I
can get one is Monday.  Any ideas other than a laundry ...
