New toilet installation28 Nov 2003 01:22 GMT2
I live in a South Louisiana and where I live there isn't much in way of code
requirements.
I'm building a work shop on a concrete slab and have a few questions
regarding installing a toilet.
pipe fittings25 Nov 2003 04:19 GMT7
I'm looking for pipe fittings and nipples (black or galvanized) that have
National Pipe Straight threading.  1 1/2" - 3" would be great.
I'm building equatorial mounts for telescopes and I need the threads to
engage much further than the tapered threads will allow.  The joints from
PEX is destroyed during install?21 Nov 2003 10:40 GMT1
Does the oxygen barrier withstand the chaffing it encounters during the
install process?
When the HePEX gets kinked and you heat it up with a heat gun the outer
layer gets all
Low flow toilets fix20 Nov 2003 04:29 GMT5
Does anyone know of a fix for clogging low flow toilets other than buying a
newer model?  Not enough water flushes (even though there's plenty left in
the tank when it shuts off), so that when there's solids in the bowl, I
often end up with a plugged toilet.  This happens to all the ...

Homemade Garden Spa Pool16 Nov 2003 17:21 GMT3
I would love to have a Garden Spa Pool but can't justify spending £5K-£10K
on one, so being the DIY type that I am, I'm trying to dream up a way of
building one myself.
Thoughts so far include:-

electric water heater15 Nov 2003 03:08 GMT6
It seems as though my water heater stops working when it gets cold out
(40-55 degrees). The unit is new, and it is inside of the house.  This is an
electric unit, and we replaced the unit because of these same symptoms. It
is on a 240 line, all by itself. If anyone has any ideas, I ...

Plumbing new shower drain14 Nov 2003 00:00 GMT6
I am installing a new shower pan and I have copper pipe in my house, which
means that I would be installing the drain with oakum and lead.  The drain
came with a rubber gasket for use with plastic pipe, and that leads me to
ask this question:  What with all the advances in ...
Need Help:  Soldering13 Nov 2003 20:16 GMT2
I am having to replace some leaking sections of copper pipe in my house & 1
part of the original pipe doesn't seem to want to accept solder. I have
cleaned both the pipe and the couple with sandpaper, put flux on both the
pipe and the interior of the couple, etc. but I can't seem to ...
