Treating a laptop for bed bugs - Whitmire 565 PLUS XLO ?21 Nov 2005 07:07 GMT4
I'm told that freezing a laptop is a bad idea so I'm looking for other
means to ensure no BBs inside.
Can I put the laptop in a trashbag and spray the 565 in there?  Aerosol or
Stream? How long do I spray?  Is it OK to just wipe down the exposed
Any PCO's out there?21 Nov 2005 02:49 GMT2
Hi members of this forum. I just want to introduce myself and hopefully
engage in pest discussions from techniques, pesticides, pricing,
marketing or whatever pertaining to pests.  I ve seen some pest talk
but nothing recent and some Sherlock Holmes and cat debates. I dont
Dr Harold Harlan's email to me about the bedbug posts in this newsgroup.19 Nov 2005 01:49 GMT5
I sent Dr Harlan an email asking him what he thought about some of the
claims made here, about bedbugs on horses, in cars, crawling on the ceiling
and several of the other posts. I copied them from the actual posts and sent
them to him, he finally replied to me and here is his email ...

I wonder how spam reaches into my mailbox with stuff like
"Id cargill why bedbug " or "With cut on deprived ringworm"

Names are getting fished off newsgroups.
Crickets in the basement?16 Nov 2005 18:27 GMT6
Got a phone call last night from young relatives who are having trouble with
crickets in the basement and the attached garage of their new house. The
husband killed seven in the basement last night and I saw one in their
garage when I visited a few days ago. I'm not sure if ...
Definitive way to distinguish termite types (dry wood v subterranean)?14 Nov 2005 04:37 GMT10
I am about to have 2-3 pest control companies examine the house.
Recent remodeling revealed termites. How can I tell whether the
termites are subterranean or dry wood (flying?)? Can they tell by
examining a live termite?
what kind of insect13 Nov 2005 04:50 GMT2
There have been some insects that I see every now and then in my
apartment, but I don't know what they are. I have scanned a photo and
have placed it on my website. I would be glad if someone could help me
identify what type of insects these are. They are about 1cm long and

Inspection by Terminix04 Nov 2005 19:24 GMT7
The guy from Terminix was just here. He seemed like a nice guy. Not
pushy or a know-it-all.
He looked at the pellets and the damaged wood, which is exposed by the
remodeling. Here is his opinion:
Clever mice outwit snap traps.04 Nov 2005 04:14 GMT48
I have mice in my house and I have put small snap traps everywhere, and
these I bait with peanut butter.
But the mice are very clever and lick the peanut butter off the triggers
without setting off the traps!
Premise foam for drywood termites03 Nov 2005 03:21 GMT1
I talked to a termite guy today. He's coming out this week to do an
inspection. He said that he uses a product called Premise for drywood
termites. It is injected into the wood somehow and he claims it is
more effective than fumigation.
Remodeling revealed termites -- now what?01 Nov 2005 21:53 GMT14
I'm a little annoyed. I would appreciate some help deciding what to
do.
I live in Palo Alto, California -- 30 miles south of San Francisco.
The house was built around 1940. A second story was added in 1985. My
