I have a 120-volt hot-air popcorn popper that takes three minutes to
pop a batch of popcorn.  When it's done, it must be turned off
manually.
I'd like to be able to plug the popper into a timer (which is itself

I have a well its strictly used for lawn irriagation and the I believe

Does anyone have experience with the TotalProtect Home Service Plan or other
similar home service plans?   With TotalProtect, when my appliances and
systems break down, their licensed service person will come and fix them for
me.  There is a $50 deductible and $500 per appliance / ...

problem. They are both disabled and basically depend on others when
things go wrong and right now they are.
Houses in the area are all built on a hill. Our house is about halfway
AC unit reccomendations?30 May 2006 17:27 GMT1
Our home (currently rented out) in Tampa has central air.  About four years
ago, we were told the AC system was at the end of it's useful life, age
wise.  We put some money away to replace it, at which point it had no
problemes until yesterday.  I am still waiting for the verdict ...

Weird little drawer; what is it?29 May 2006 19:41 GMT13
In my custom cabinet layout in the kitchen we have got a little drawer
as part of the package.  This drawer, set next to the sink and below
the counter, stretches all the way to the floor yet is no wider than 8
inches on its face.  There are three equally spaced partitions in it,
Flourescent Bulbs in Dimmers28 May 2006 23:40 GMT7
I have always been told not to put flourescent bulbs in light systems
with dimmers.  My question is what happens?  I know you can't run the
flourescent bulbs in a 'dimmed' fashion... so if I run the system at
full power all the time I would assume it would be ok.    But what

not know the model number but it is one that has a single handle
mounted on the side.
I have noticed that there is a very small amount of water dripping
Bed Risers26 May 2006 15:10 GMT3
My room is pretty small, and I find myself in need of more space.
Ideally, a loft bed would be excellent for maximizing the total area of
the room, but I can't afford one on a student budget, and I'd be more
comfortable a little closer to the ground.  At the local department

wrinkles are from folding them.

Refrigerator problem25 May 2006 21:56 GMT9
My refrigerator (Amana side-by-side, about 18 months old) stopped
cooling yesterday.  Temp in fridge and freezer went to 60 degrees. The
compressor seems to be cycling normally.  I vacuumed the coils, but
there was very little dust.  Last night I shut it off and unplugged
Hot tub cover suggestions25 May 2006 19:40 GMT4
I've been living in my house for 3 years, and it came with an outdoor
hot tub (subjected to rain, sun, cold weather, etc). The cover wasn't
in the best condition when I moved in, but it has gotten considerably
worse, and a lot heavier. It's now way past the time to replace it.
