washer agitates me, but not itself30 Dec 2005 13:41 GMT2
The agitator in the base of the tub works but the upper agitator (it ma
be called a "mover for agitator") doesn't agitate.
It's a Whirlpool model LLR9245BQ1. Probably not belt drive; 7 - 8 year
old.
Kitcen Sink Clogged: Auger?30 Dec 2005 07:23 GMT4
Heavy duty drain opener chemicals do not work, nor does plunging. The
trap under the sink has nothing to unscrew to let me get in and clear
it out.
Should I buy an auger and go in through the top of the sink's drain?
Lopi Fireplace Inserts - Blower recommended or not?29 Dec 2005 23:32 GMT2
My wife and I are interested in installing a Lopi wood burning insert
in our house (The Revere).  We live in a bungalow, about 1700 square
feet.  Would it be prudent or even necessary to buy the blower
attachment?  Does it heat the house that much better or more
Wet saw blade29 Dec 2005 20:27 GMT1
I'm having problems finding a replacement blade for my wet saw.  I need
a 7" blades with a 3/4" (19.05mm) arbor.  Any ideas where I can find
speciality blades?
It seems that everything I find is 5/8" or 7/8" arbor.  Thanks, LLS
Locked in Mortgage Rate, but now the rate is lower. Question.29 Dec 2005 18:06 GMT5
I locked my mortgage rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage, but now the
rates moved lower.
I can get 0.25% lower rate right now (locked in at 6.25, I can get 6.00

Bathroom exhaust goes where?28 Dec 2005 15:37 GMT8
I was vacuuming out my bathroom exhaust fans and got to wondering...
where do they go?  There is no vent coming out of the roof for the
exhaust (nor do any of the other homes in the neighborhood).  Do they
feed into the sewer vent that goes out the roof?  The drier vent and
Plumbing the bathroom vent to the outside (retrofit job)28 Dec 2005 08:46 GMT3
Hi all.. I've got a house that has two bathroom vents and are currently
venting into the attic.. I'm in the Southern California area so it doesn't
get too cold (compared to other parts of the US) so I don't have any concerns
about ice dams, etc.. However, I'd like to fix this ...
car insurance27 Dec 2005 23:53 GMT13
My insurance agent talked me into buying this really high "Limits of
Liability".   $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident. She said I
need to buy this high because I have a house. So just in case a bad
accident  happens, I will have enough coverage that not putting  the

Putting too many long-burning logs in the fireplace...possible bad effects?27 Dec 2005 21:51 GMT3
My power had been out for a few days, and I happen to have a fireplace
but never use it and don't know much about fireplaces.  I did know
enough I think to open the "vent" and pull down the "lever" looking
thing (I live in an apartment complex btw), but I didn't realize you're
Air in my water pipes??27 Dec 2005 20:56 GMT1
I have a situation where there seems to be air in my cold water pipes.
When I get up in the morning and flush the toilet, or run the cold
water in the sink, the water burps and carries on.  After about a
toilet refill's worth of water, the situation goes away until the next
Fireplace updraft problem27 Dec 2005 20:44 GMT7
I frequently have problems with smoke backing into the room when using my
fireplace. At times it backs up when I first start a fire. Other times it
works fine for an hour or two and then backs up. I've tried opening a
window and preheating the chimney. I've had the chimney ...
