Chain Saw Recommendation Requested 12 Nov 2004 21:01 GMT7
Want to buy my first chain saw for some very light
tree branch trimming around the house.
Don't want a really expensive one, as it will, frankly, not be
getting that much use.
Connecting knob and tube to conduit12 Nov 2004 16:12 GMT1
A bedroom circuit in our house is still using knob and tube.  The
house was built in the late 1940's.  I want to install a ceiling light
in the closet and run it from the original light.  How do I connect my
conduit (romex?) to the knob and tube?   Its about a 8 foot run of
What to clean with for greasy Kitchen hood?12 Nov 2004 04:30 GMT8
What is a good product to clean a greasy kitchen hood vent which has
accumulated for several years now? Also, what type of cloth to use to
clean it with? I don't mean the grease trap that can be replaced, but
the hood itself, surrounding areas of it, and underneath it. Grease

Cooking oil disposal?11 Nov 2004 03:22 GMT17
I'm curious how people here dispose of their cooking oil.

in a ziplock baggie, sealing, and tossing it.
I'm wondering if there is a more cost effective way.

Trampoline Winterizing10 Nov 2004 03:55 GMT3
Well, it's time to put the kid's 14' trampoline away for the winter -
except that I sure as heck don't want to dismantle the thing. Somehow it
seems wrong to just leave it in the yeard over the ccoming New Englan
winter. Shoud I just toss a tarp over it? Stand it up on it's side
