harzardrous to my pigs living down there.

I have a large concrete pool I want to fill in as kids left home etc
With water shortages etc I was wondering if it was possible to cover
it with steel I beams and concrete and turn it into an underground
water storage that could have the house gutters run in to it and

home depot unfinished hardwood floor inferior?24 Oct 2004 13:50 GMT5
I was looking for unfinished red-oak select or better hardwood floors
in a MA home depot store. Noticed that the stuff they claim to be
select is actually marked as #1 common by the manufacture. The
manufacture is Harris Tarkett. Also, the floor does not have NORMA
Heating contractors24 Oct 2004 09:15 GMT6
Can anyone recommend good, knowledgeable, quality heating contractors in the
Greater Toronto Area? After doing much research I've come to the conclusion
that the brand of furnace is not  the most important consideration but
rather the quality of the installation is.
Over door latch only slides halfway24 Oct 2004 07:06 GMT5
We have a GE self cleaning oven and we are attempting to engage the self
cleaning mechanism.  But for some reason, the "clean" latch on the door
will only slide halfway.  Is there some trick to get it to slide all the
way to the right?
Illegally renting main house and living in another house built on back of the house on same plot...23 Oct 2004 12:32 GMT14
I am buying a property in CA. This has total 7500 sq.ft. plot. About
4500 sq.ft. plot is availabe behind main house. I want to construct
another house on the plot, behind main house. Legally I will treat it
as in-laws apartments (I will take legal permit for the construction).

New circuit breakers21 Oct 2004 12:56 GMT11
Good morning.
I have recently purchased a home, and work from a home office.  Right now
the "office" is a roughed-in room in the basement.  In addition to sheetrock
and some cosmetic work, it needs electricity.  I currently use several
Spa (Hot tub) Renovation - Gas? Solar?21 Oct 2004 07:53 GMT23
I've just inherited a working 8' wide spa (AKA hot tub), fiberglass body in
a foam-insulated wooden frame with an insulated lid, holding about 700
gallons. We're going to install this outside on what was a small (non-reg.)
basketball court, and put up a windbreak around it.
Roofing a 12/12 Pitch: Nails or Staples?21 Oct 2004 02:48 GMT2
Is there a general rule about using nails versus staples depending on
the pitch of the roof?  The material is asphalt roll-roofing on a
12"/12" pitch.  Building codes are not an issue at this location.
Thanks,
Bali and Graber are the same?21 Oct 2004 01:37 GMT1
Recently I order Graber shades from American Decorating Warehouse.  I
received Bali, and when I called about the mistake, they told me they
are the same manufacturer and the same product.  It seems like the
Bali's are flimsier.  I feel like I got ripped off.  Like it is a bait
How to calculate appliance energy usage?20 Oct 2004 21:42 GMT10
I'm using an electric heater to warm up my bedroom while keeping the
temperature in the rest of the house much lower, heated by the furnace.
Is it possible to calculate how much it costs me to run the heater based on
the wattage-- perhaps per hour of continuous use?  Thought there ...
