I've seen some mixed messages, even from labs and government sites, about whether "normal" CFL bulbs can be used safely in 3-way lamps. Some say flatly Yes, others No. But I haven't seen much about this in general. Can someone point me to a definitive site, or answer this

I have a new mattress with a memory foam top layer, which seems to make it very comfortable. I would like to protect the mattress from spills, so I am searching for a waterproof mattress encasing. The problem is most of these encasings ruin the mattress feel and defeat

I need to ship a bed across the country; too big for UPS, and too small for moving companies which have a minimum of $600 for fuel, etc. How do I find space on an existing moving van that's already scheduled for the same route and just pay the incremental cost of carrying one
