Oily film on glass of storm door24 Feb 2004 12:48 GMT2
2 brand new doors.  One is a steel entry door w/decorative half-moon
glass, the other a full-screen/glass storm door.  The house faces
south, so there is sun exposure on clear days.  The steel entry door
gets very hot to the touch.  It is not a condensation problem.  It is

I'm thinking of buying a Sears Kenmore washing machine, but have seen
some bad comments on the Internet about Sears customer service if you

I've got 2 steam radiators that are leaking.  I have tried JB Weld applied
where I think the crack is, but I haven't removed the radiators to really
look carefully.  It worked for awhile, but they are both leaking again.
I've heard that radiators are easily removed.  Hah.  I have a ...

1099-INT form (from mortgage company)22 Feb 2004 17:12 GMT10
In box 1 of my form, it says I paid $35.08 for the 2003 calendar year.
I thought I paid thousands of dollars last year in interest?  I don't think
this is correct, nor will it probably give me the tax return I was hoping
for.  Please investigate and/or explain.
Don't Use Appraisal.com22 Feb 2004 16:15 GMT3
I paid for them to do an appraisal and then cancelled it before it was
scheduled. Now they want to change me a $80 cancellation fee. They
never said anything about a cancellation fee when I paid and they
haven't given me my partial refund even though it has been two weeks.
Concrete Foundation wall - needs continuous pour?22 Feb 2004 11:36 GMT3
Hello, I'm planning to build a garage/workshop and hope to do the work
myself as much as possible (learn more, save money, etc.)  I have
access to a cement mixer and I'm thinking about pouring the footing
and low foundation wall (2 ft) myself, then hiring a contractor for
Mildew resistant silicone ...  Not!22 Feb 2004 03:19 GMT3
The grout line between the tile walls and tub cracked, pieces fell out,
etc.  Happens to everybody since the tub moves with weight, and the
walls stay stationary.  Okay.  So I wanted to cover the grout with a
material that flexes with the tub.  I figured that grout is entirely

I have been in the process of building a small addition (120 sq. ft)
on my house and remodeling my kitchen. I had been using a general
contracter who works with an architect. I had signed a binder fee

to the collection unit.
