questions on city inspections05 Dec 2003 17:24 GMT2
I know this varies from locale to locale, but I thought I would ask here

My house is about 3.5 years old.  We originally had a very bad iron
staining problem (toliets, tub, etc.).  My builder installed a
Northstar water softener a few months later.  This unit worked great

I purchased a parcel at a recent San Bernardino County, CA tax sale.
It was a great price (about 1/5 assessed value) so I took a chance.
Now, I need to find out if the parcel is land-locked or not.  How do I
go about discovering if I have some sort of easement (public perhaps?)

Hampton Bay Callaway II with Remote and High Efficiency Blades : Anyone have this ceiling fan?04 Dec 2003 18:21 GMT1
I purchased one of these at Home Depot but haven't installed it yet.
Then I started reading that Hampton Bay quality isn't necessarily that
good and some of their fans hum.
The blades are supposed to be a newer design that's more efficient.

around and blows un-heated room-temperature air over the clothes.
Eventually, the clothes will dry using this setting.
Assuming average natural gas and electricity costs, assuming average

How to boost security on tilt windows?04 Dec 2003 00:30 GMT1
Please bear with me - it's a hard problem to describe, especially for
someone who knows little about window design.
Am currently in the market for sliding window locks for my new home (rental
duplex).   Sure, there seem to be hundreds of different ones on the market,
