My wife and I moved into a 30 year-old house a year ago.  Everything
worked ok over the past year but I have never been please with the

on my Gas heater and smell a small hint of gas.  Again, my pregnant

Since I bought my house 12 years ago, I have added about $20,000 in
permanent improvements which count toward the cost basis.  I am about
to sell it for a $60,000 profit.  Also since 12 years ago, the tax
exemption on capital gains on a house sale has risen to $500,000 for

I'm trying to get a gas line run for the dryer. The gas meter is
directly on the other side of the garage wall, so a  T needs to be
installed, and a line run through the  wall. The dryer will be in the
garage, literally 2-3' away.
Need advice on drafty wood windows03 Dec 2003 01:44 GMT8
I have a 'sunroom' that has double hung single pane glass.  This room is on
the North side of the house (odd for a sunroom) and is always cold in the

Kraftmaid Kitchen Cabinets, where to buy02 Dec 2003 20:59 GMT6
Since hurricane Isabel its very hard to get a kitchen designer here.

Called in the same plumber who installed the new one and he reckons

Title Insurance for Tax Foreclosed Property?02 Dec 2003 10:28 GMT6
I purchased property at a tax foreclosure auction in Michigan.  I did
not purchase the tax liens.  I purchased the property and was given a

I bought a Neptune Washer Jan 01 in Ft. Collins CO at an authorized
Maytag Dealer (the only product they sell). I was willing to pay over
$1200 (for just a washer) in order to have a machine that would be
worry free from maintenance issues for at least seven years (after
