MR16 LEDs for Landscape Lights22 Jul 2008 13:36 GMT19
In a quest to become even more energy efficient, I am looking at replacing
the 20W halogens in our landscape lights with MR16 LEDs.  While the LEDs are
incredibly expensive compared with halogens, payback through energy savings
should be achievable in several years.  Searching ...
Strange behaviour21 Jul 2008 23:01 GMT2
Using my wireless remotes [KC674 or HR12A] I can control the living room and
family room lamps [on/off only] utilizing a RR501 and CM11A by setting up an
IF/THEN statement in my software. I can even control the modules manually by
click on their icons in the software.
CFL's and X-1021 Jul 2008 04:51 GMT26
The X-10/CFL problem has a lot of dimensions, and as far as I can tell, no
neat solutions.  In examing the schematic for the LM465, it became clear in
a way that I hadn't realized before that whatever plugs into that outlet
becomes an intimate part of the module's circuitry.  ...
X-10 controllers for use with Apple II20 Jul 2008 15:41 GMT3
I'm setting up a remote device control system using three Apple II
computers linked with Nadanet. I've been looking at the X-10 control
programs the Apple II uses, and I'm interested in using a CP290 (or
something similar) attached to an SSC in one of the slaves for proof-
X10 to VGA19 Jul 2008 03:20 GMT2
Could you please tell me is there a way to connect X10 to VGA?
Thanx in advance
X10 is driving me nuts!18 Jul 2008 16:55 GMT12
I have a strange problem that I'm hoping someone can help with.
After 3 years of (almost!) flawless operation, my X10 setup has
virtually stopped working.
There have been no recent additions to the appliances in the house
Which controller?18 Jul 2008 14:52 GMT3
I have a question that was probably addressed in this forum, but I
could find a answer that I like.
I have a background in electronics and programming, but don't know
noting of home automation (have order some books !).
MS16A18 Jul 2008 01:51 GMT4
When the batteries are changed on the MS16A is it necessary to reprogram the
house and unit codes? I can't seem to find that mentioned on the
instructions I found on the net. I believe on the old MS14 motion detectors
this was the case and I had a dozen of them and it was a pain.
Leviton "Air Gap Switch" on Dimmer Controls17 Jul 2008 20:21 GMT9
According to the installation instructions, it states to disconnect the
power or switch it off using the "Air Gap Switch" before changing a light
bulb. The air gap switch isn't the easiest switch to get at nor is flipping
switches in the breaker panel - both seem troublesome just ...
CM19A17 Jul 2008 03:04 GMT6
I obtained a CM19A at a garage sale and hooked it up to the serial port and
nothing happens. I tried to signal it with a keychain remote but did not get
any response or indication on the computer that the device works even though
the LED lights up. I was under the impression this ...

voice controlled lights and blinds13 Jul 2008 11:43 GMT2
I have a question for you experts.
A friend of mine, who is forced on a wheel chair,
asked to me if it was possible to switch on / off
the lights in his house (or open/close the blinds)
Photosensor Search Help08 Jul 2008 18:54 GMT9
I have a customer that has a controller that uses a remote photosensor to
determine if the sun it up or down.  Simple enough but the photosensor has
seen better days.
Here is my problem.  I need a source on just the sensor.  I first thought
LED's for landscape (cont)07 Jul 2008 19:34 GMT2
Has anyone ever put a watt meter on the primary side of a typical
Malibu lighting transformer to determine how much power is saved by
simply changing the bulbs on the string to LED's?  Just curious if
anyone has some real number comparisons.
Open and Closr my Gate over the internet.06 Jul 2008 15:50 GMT9
I have a gate at the front of my driveway and at least once a month I
have to leave it open for the power company so they can read my
meter.  I recently got my camera system conntect to the internet so I
