I have a strange problem. I use a home built serial IR receiver
attached to the com-port of my computer. I use Winlirc and Girder to
perform different tasks from my remote control. It has worked very
well for many years now.

I am looking for information on Ethernet power line adapters.  In
particular, I am curious if anyone has had trouble with them working
across the two legs of a 120/240 VAC system, as sometimes occurs with

I'm looking for a light timer to replace one that just broke that contols my
front porch light.  It installs where the light switch is.  I've seen some
that adjust for daylight savings time, but haven't found any yet that claim
