Automatic Pellet Dispenser28 Feb 2007 17:51 GMT33
I'm looking for a cheap way to dispense a pellet of kibble into a dog crate
upon receipt of an X-10 command.  Most automatic dog feeders mete out a
whole meal's worth and that's way too much.  When the pups are sitting in
their crates, chewing their nylabones and not creating a ...
HomeVoice discontinued28 Feb 2007 15:09 GMT6
Can anyone shed any light on why HomeVoice has been discontinued?
Over the past several years several quadriplegics who relied on it told me
it was the only VR software that was reliable enough to meet their needs so
I am surprised to see that AFT has discontinued it. AFT licensed ...
Smarthome 1132CU and Daylight Savings Time Date Change27 Feb 2007 03:19 GMT1
I use an Smarthome 1132CU to control the
lights/etc. in my house.  With the new
dates for daylight savings time, the
1132CU is going to have problems.  I
Older Active Home (v 1.3) / DST Question27 Feb 2007 01:44 GMT7
Knowing that the dates for DST are changing in the US, I have been
trying to figure out if I need to do anything (or can do anything) in my
old Active Home setup.
I have a simple setup and only run macros from the CM11A module which is
360 degree photo patents bought by Sony26 Feb 2007 08:09 GMT2
Some might recall the discussions a while back about patents and 360 degree
technology.  Some interesting followup here (registration free, but
required, I believe)

A father of home automation "beams up"26 Feb 2007 08:05 GMT9
Robert Adler, co-inventor of the remote control and a prolific inventor,
died Thursday at the age of 93.  Along with inventor and fellow engineer
Eugene Polley, Adler helped bring the first commercially successful wireless
TV remote -- the Zenith Space Command -- to market in 1956.
Home automation Software25 Feb 2007 16:07 GMT1
I just started using Active Home Pro. I am having a heard time setting
the timers. I think it is because I have other languages installed on
my computer and some of the text doesn't show up readable in the
program. As a result, I cant change the times with the buttons. It
x10 activehome pro25 Feb 2007 01:01 GMT18
It is really great to find this group. I've been an x10 user for 20 years,
maybe.
Since then I seemed to have gotten dumber and dumber about this stuff. I
need your help.
Waveman & X1024 Feb 2007 11:52 GMT3
Has anybody tried the Waveman series of Tx & Rx devices?
Any good/bad reviews ?
Do these happen to be compatible with the X10 RF equipment?
Any feed back at all would be appreciated.
What is this socket?24 Feb 2007 05:21 GMT3
My new apartment has a built-in heater/ac unit.  I'd like to build a
primitive thermostat for it (keep it off during the day, but on in time
for me to get home from work, etc), like I did with the window units in
my old apartment with X10.

SOT: looking for good cordless phone sets22 Feb 2007 20:26 GMT20
Our ATT 24?? series phones are giving up the ghost. (some don't ring,
batteries failing, no handsfree on some units... etc)
I'm looking for a set to replace them, and though it isn't
specifically on topic per-sey, I thought folks here might know.
re: power meter monitoring21 Feb 2007 20:42 GMT3
Mark,
Thanks for the related links. I was more then just a little surprised at the
holier then thou reaction to my post.  I thought sharing both ideas and
information on interesting related products was exactly what the group was
