Problem with Intermatic T107-30 Timer - Running Slow17 Dec 2006 23:04 GMT7
We have an old mechanical Intermatic T107-30 timer which controls our
landscape lighting. In the last few weeks, the timer started acting up - it
is running extremely slow.
Basically for every hour, the timer will only run ~2 minutes.
Insteon & CF Bulbs17 Dec 2006 12:22 GMT1
Looks like the CF interference issue has hit me. I posted about on
Smarthome's forums.

all housecode remote17 Dec 2006 08:20 GMT16
I am looking for an all-housecode RF remote for X10. It does not seem
to me that this should be such a difficult thing to find, but I have
not found one. Any suggestions?

X10 and Linux15 Dec 2006 23:57 GMT18
Morning all.
New to this NG. Was semi-active on the X10 forums for a bit but "forums"
in general kind of annoy me. Hard to "pick up where you left off" if you
go away for a few weeks.
X10 signals can be TOO strong!15 Dec 2006 23:55 GMT38
The tree went up yesterday, and it was put on a lamp module set to the same
codes as our other Christmas decorations, which normally run about ½
intensity.  The tree exhibits the same flickering effect reported earlier
with some Insteon wall switches.

How to turn on a light across a room without a wire?14 Dec 2006 12:54 GMT13
I live in an apartment (so messing with the in-wall fixtures is out of
the question), and I have 2 lamps in my living room.  One of the lamps
is controlled by a switch on one side of the room ... flip the switch,
and there's light.  The other one, however, we have to turn on by hand

from a PC.
Smarthome PowerLinc 1132B frequent failures12 Dec 2006 00:30 GMT8
I use a PowerLinc 1132B [http://www.smarthome.com/1132b.html] with a
Ware Brothers sprinkler controller [http://www.warebrothers.com].  It
sends X10 signals to control landscape lighting.
The 1132B fails fairly often, perhaps every six months or so.

Bigger x-10 maxi controller?11 Dec 2006 22:26 GMT5
I use x-10 maxi controllers and am pressing against the 16 unit limit.
Is there a max-max controller to let me reach another 16 units on
another house code?  I know I can change the house code, but if I do it
too often it is a pain and will wear out.  Can I put a button on the
MP3 screen to Amplifier11 Dec 2006 18:11 GMT2
Does anyone know of a system of playing MP3 files through an amplifier
without the use of a laptop etc. In other words is there a simpilfied
'Jukebox' computer that has a screen bigger than the likes of an
IRiver/Ipod - something the size of a small laptop screen without the
