LED lights at home30 Nov 2006 02:02 GMT2
There has been a lot of news about using LEDs to replace the traditional
bulbs. I see that they use a lot less power, are very economical and
also give a very good aesthetic look.
I was wondering if anyone has installed LEDs in their house already. If
Random ALL ON Codes30 Nov 2006 01:26 GMT1
Ok, i got a real good one for everyone out there..
I have been using the X10 system for several years, and has grown in my home
over the years, and now just about includes all my lights and applinaces..

Best way to make a camera rotate?29 Nov 2006 23:29 GMT4
I have a remote camera setup at my secondary residence, and I want to
make it rotate.  Anyone know of a device that I could use to accomplish
this?  I found a post by someone that used a fake rotating camera,
available at any flea market, and he used a DC converter to power it.
Whole House/Multi Zone Audio28 Nov 2006 21:58 GMT2
Following on from the recent query about whole home audio, I am
considering putting together a multi zone audio system similar to
Sonos. The functionality required is this:
Audio (and ideally video/dvd and photos) stored on a server

If anyone has one of these I'd like to get the FCC ID number which should be
on the sensor unit that mounts on the door. I'd like to know what RF
frequency they use. ...
Strange: X-10 outlets & LED Holiday Lights27 Nov 2006 21:26 GMT7
I have two Leviton 6227W outlets outside my house which have been used for
years to operate our holiday lights. Yesterday I put up new lights, those
LED holiday lights instead of our usual C7 lights. Everything works fine so
far.
X10 RR501 Burst Misalignment27 Nov 2006 17:30 GMT5
As first reported here several weeks ago, it appears that the X10 RR501 does
not maintain correct registration of its 3-phase bursts.  At that time it
was just a curiosity, but it has now become a problem when using a gated AGC
sample window.
Foard Systems Design Controllers27 Nov 2006 00:47 GMT4
Is anyone familar with the Foard Systems Design controllers? They look
like nice mid-range, priced controllers that work with multiple control
standards. Currently only X10 and UPB are supported but the company
webpage indicates that "Z-Wave and INSTEON products are anticipated."
CM11 Status Request (C# Language)24 Nov 2006 11:41 GMT15
I'm having trouble to get the CM11 status request. It took me a long
time to figure out how to comunicate with the CM11 (e.g. to turn On a
device...) but I can do it now.
Now the problem seem to be the status requesting issue. When I send the
CM15A & receiving dim23 Nov 2006 16:06 GMT12
I'm not sure if anyone has resolved this but I'm trying to decode
simple dim commands being sent from the ti103 and received by the
CM15A. If I send 1 DIM ($>28001N01ND40ND40F8# or N1 NDIM - note these
are continous dims for a single command) I see:
CF vs X-10, my story22 Nov 2006 17:55 GMT1
I use a bunch of x-10s and CFs, never had a problem before yesterday.
Had a 25 watt CF in a reflector over my wife's knitting chair and she
complained the light was flickering.  Tried to turn it off with x-10 and
NONE of my x-10s worked.  Had to manually unplug it, then ...
Homelink and X10 on/off commands20 Nov 2006 23:30 GMT4
I have an Acura TL which comes with homelink.  I have a x10 firecracker
kit, and was able to program the homelink system with it.  However each
of the three buttons seem to be able to have just a on or off command
assigned to it.  For example I want to turn on A1, I hit the first
Whole house MP3 server - software solution?20 Nov 2006 04:55 GMT2
I searched the group looking for information on this and couldn't find
anything recent.  Here is what I am looking for - a software solution
that allows me to run a media server (MP3 is fine, video would be nice
in the future), connected to my whole house audio solution (Nuvo),
DirecTV In multiple rooms20 Nov 2006 03:16 GMT11
Hey we have directv in only 1 room in our house (basement).  We are
going to get it in 3 other rooms, but the other three rooms are not
wired for coax cable.  I called Directv and they said they can do it
but they wont know how much is costs to run cable until they see the
CM15A protocol document20 Nov 2006 01:00 GMT1
Here is my first attempt at a more official CM15A protocol document.
It's not done but it's much better than my confusing CM15D web page.
The CM15D was just a loose notes page but we all tried to use it as
much more. I decided that I should spend a little time and put my
