Garage door closes automatically after a preset time29 Jun 2006 17:31 GMT5
Is there a device on the market (something simple I hope) that can be
preset to close a typical garage door in, say, two hours? For example,
if my garage door is open, I'd like it to close automatically after two
hours.

Implementing  failover of the Home Automation Rule Enforcer (HARE) in a federated environment.26 Jun 2006 18:09 GMT1
In a typical PC-centric Home Automation (HA) system, only one instance of
the HA program (Homeseer, Premise Systems, CQS, MisterHouse ) is running at
any given time. However one legacy HA program (Savoy's CyberHouse) has
intrinsically provided for mutual cooperation of more than one ...
Can you help me find a CP290, these days?  :-)26 Jun 2006 00:19 GMT1
I'm looking for a CP290.  I last purchased one from Home Automation
Systems in July of 1999.  (I had one that just a couple of weeks ago died.
I got it in the early 1980's.  It was more than 20 years old, and I
definitely got my money's worth out of it!)
Advice needed on simple whole-house audio system25 Jun 2006 01:27 GMT1
I would like the expertise of some of the posters here on how I can
build and install my own (simple) whole-house audio system. My
requirements are fairly easy...I only need one zone, and the indoor
audio will consist of one (mono) speaker in each of three rooms. The
Rozetta... just a flash in the pan?22 Jun 2006 06:40 GMT9
I haven't heard anything more about Rozetta here in a couple of months. Is
this thing an actuality or just a pipe dream? I've been waiting for months
to get one when they are released to the GP, and so far, I've seen nothing
concrete except a few emails and list postings.

Help converting x10.com devices in the UK20 Jun 2006 15:48 GMT2
I need some help. I own 4 cameras which I bought in the UK. I also
bought a remote control and the tranceiver, hence everything was
working nicely. I then decided to buy 4 motion detectors and a Ninja
base from the USA (X0.com) as well as ActiveHome and Vanguard software.

Home Keyless Entry19 Jun 2006 15:28 GMT1
I am looking for an affordable keyless deadbolt lock for my house doors.
An RFID device would appear to be the best solution, but I am open to
suggestions. Could anyone recommend any product.
Thank you,
Leviton HCA02-10E19 Jun 2006 06:47 GMT5
Can anyone explain how the Leviton HCA02-10E coupler-repeater deals with
multiple HCA02-10E's installed in several sub-panels as Leviton recommends?
How can they do this without getting into a ping-pong match?  TIA

CFL reviews?18 Jun 2006 14:10 GMT6
I've got a bunch of Commercial Electric CFLs (bought at home depot) in
my house..what i really like about these CFLs is the "quickstart"
technology...they come on immediately, just like an incandescent bulb.
What I don't like is, of course, the x10 signal suck (or noise
