I am looking for some help installing a CAV6.6 in a residence in Chicago but
have had no luck.  All the local installers I have spoken to all want to
charge alot to design and install their custom set-ups.
Any advice on how to find someone?

Is a telephone ring generator available, that would let me plug in an answering
machine and ring it to make it answer?  I would also need to connect an ordinary
telephone to send touch tones to control the features of the answering machine,
to record messages remotely, etc.

My customer just asked my to find 140-150 thermostats that are controlable
with a pc or another interface for condos. He wanna be able to set back
temp during night and inocuppency ....
they must control a 220 volts plinth .

Tried to recycle the original CM15 RF receiver board on a BX24-AHT
unsuccessfully. Seems that data output logical level are not the standard
used by Laipac module.

I have just had a pool installed and I'd like to automate
one of the valves. It is a Jandy Neverlube valve, with a 2" pipe.
The lights are already on X10 from the electrician, and all I want
to do is automate that one valve. I don't want a more expensive

Principle stay simple, each time a light is switched on, a X10 command is
triggered starting (or reseting) a timer.

I have been using the SmartHome SwitchLink 23885 relay switch to
control a fluorescent spot light in my kitchen. Everything worked well,
until yesterday, when I added SwitchLink 2384 Dimmer switch to my
dining room. Kitchen light and dining room light are not connected

Does the following work? I have two phones in room A. I run a cord from
Phone 1 and Phone 2 into a 2 line/1 line splitter. I then plug the
splitter into a RJ45 patch panel. Cat5 8 wire cables run from that
patch panel to a patch panel in Room B. I plug another 2 line/1 line

After seeing how the Levitron and Z-Wave products are similar in price. Why
would someone buy a 30yr old X10 based design over a new (I've used them
they work fantastic) Z-Wave system?
