I apologize if this is a stupid question.  Have been controlling x-10 lights
with Homeseer for about 5 years with little difficulty.  Recently had
problems with some not responding reliably, some not at all.  Went through
the whole thing of trying to find a new noise source and ...

How can I connect two dual LNBs and then have 17 point in a structured
cable network which allow me to connect  recievers at any of the 17
points and have access to all channels. What type of switches and
where can I source them?

I desire to set up a couple of security cameras at my home and the local
church school principal asked me to make recommendations for a video
security system there.  Can you please give me guidance on any of the
following questions that I have.

Where can I look for an IR phone and IR light switches.
I already have an IR controller on my wheelchair and
I would like to control my phone and lights....

connecting a Power Line Interface (PL513 or TW523) with a supplied cable
with RJ11 connectors on each end that plug between my automation controller
and powerline interface module.

I appreciate that this isn't strictly home automation, but the

I'm new to this group.
I have a CP290 and am using X10WC software by David Huras. It works great but I
don't know what else is out there. The X10WC software goes back to Win3.1. Does
anyone know if there is a more recent version? Has David abandoned this

I have installed Activehome and I get the following error...
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The systemfile is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
How do I fix this. The autoexec.nt file does not exist... ...

I read an article that says you can substitute ground for
neutral when wiring an x10 switch. Something tells me if this
workaround was a good idea I'd have heard more about it. Comments
anyone?

Anyone know of any devices that will output CID info to a serial
port/etc for capture by a PC?
Goal here is to feed the incoming number to my dispatch system, pulling
up the customer screen automatically.
