wireless rs232 connection to CM11a30 Nov 2004 21:58 GMT15
I have built 2 PCB's which connect an RS232 wireless through 434mHz and
I want to connect PCB2 (both PCB's are exactly the same) to the CM11a
and the other to my networkserver. If I connect the PCB2 to the CM11a
1:1 nothing happens. If I connect the PCB1 to the CM11a and ...
On/Off Wall Switch30 Nov 2004 06:57 GMT1
I need an on/off X10 wall switch only (no dimmer).  I have found some
in the decorator style.  I need 3 or 4 in the non-decorator style.
Has anyone found these or know where I could get a few.  I want to use
them for fans and a fireplace switch.  However, I can't go to the
remotely power cycle / reset x10 controller?  (CM11A)30 Nov 2004 03:44 GMT2
Hi, I was wondering if there was any command in the X10 controller
(CM11A) that could allow me to power cycle or reset it?   Sometimes
the controller gets stuck in a funky state such that it cannot accept
any more commands.   This is fixed by turning the controller on and

How to install a PC5500Z Lcd keypad to replace a PC5508 on DSC system?30 Nov 2004 03:00 GMT7
Hi, I have a security system that was installed by an alarm vendor who
have since gone out of business. The Power832 controls 8 zones, and
has two of the PC5508 LED keypads. They left a PC5500Z LCD keypad to
be installed, but never did.
ActiveHome Pro and the CM15A30 Nov 2004 01:40 GMT3
I've had a few days to test the CM15A interface and ActiveHome Pro, and I'd
like to provide some feedback to the group.
CM15A Drivers:
In earlier posts I've read that the installation of the CM15A drivers can
CR234 on a 220V outlet?29 Nov 2004 18:01 GMT1
Hey, I'm about to install my CR234 (coupler/repeater).  I'm lucky
enough to have a 220V outlet (both phases plus ground -- an appliance
outlet) right next to the breaker box, on its own circuit.
Can I just wire up the CR234 to a 220V (three-prong male) plug and
CM15A question29 Nov 2004 15:28 GMT8
I've figured out all of the signals to/from the Cypress controller with the
exception of pin 15. It connects to the collector of TR1. It looks like it
has something to do with detecting when the batteries are the power source
but it appears to be at 0V at all times.
Thermostat for Space Heaters28 Nov 2004 17:55 GMT1
I have a couple of panel heaters (see www.eheat.us).  I like the
heaters, but here is my problem.  They do not have built in
thermostats.  So there is no way to regulate room temperature.  Right
now I have the heaters attached to a timer so it comes on at night and
X10 vs. LonWorks for Home Automation ???28 Nov 2004 15:11 GMT12
I ask this question as a newbie to Home Automation, but coming from a
background of commercial building automation (I work for a major OEM in that
area).
In the commercial world, there's virtually no market penetration of X10-type
Pushbutton dimmer switch okay with transformer?28 Nov 2004 14:27 GMT2
I'd like to control my low-voltage outdoor lights with X-10.  They're
powered by a 200W 24V transformer.  (It's an "electronic" transformer -
not sure what this means, but it doesn't work until it's delivering at
least 50W or so.)  I'm currently drawing about 80W on it (four 20W

Pan Tilt DIY27 Nov 2004 04:47 GMT4
I have a DVR card that will allow control of a pan tilt camera.  I
don't have the $$$$ it cost for this type of camera.
Has anyone "homebrewed" a pan tilt zoom camera using another more
affordable method of either servos controlled by the DVR or a

Will X10 work OK with GFI outlets26 Nov 2004 05:42 GMT1
I'm starting my X10 design so nothing is installed yet.  I have ground fault
interrupter outlets installed in both bathrooms.  Will these outlets affect
X10 signals in the same way that a surge protector will affect X10?  There
are some circuits downstream of the outlets where I'd ...
