send email on x10 event -- any suggestions?31 Oct 2004 17:25 GMT3
I am looking for suggestions on how to send an email as the result of
an x10 event.  I plan to use Smarthome Templinc to monitor the temp
(in case the furnace fails or whatever).  I need something to react to
the x10 signal,  preferably not HomeSeer software due to the cost.
Ocelot question31 Oct 2004 14:37 GMT4
I'm running an Ocelot Australia - or trying to.  Now the lights on the
Ocelot seem to be flashing in the right sequence to suggest that it's
working, however I cannot get it to display the timers or variables when the
program is running - they just about all come back 0.  I cannot ...

I'm building a new 10K sq ft home, and looking at Premise with Homeworks
Interactive for lighting. I want to be as future-proof as possible, so I'm
wondering if it might make *more* sense to go with the Homeworks Wireless
option rather than the hardwired 8-series. That way I'll ...

CM15A good news/bad news29 Oct 2004 21:34 GMT16
I just received a CM15A. As time and my health allow I'll run some tests and
report the results.
It looks like the PLC circuitry more or less duplicates the CM11A so I would
not expect it to be either much better or much worse in terms of

White Van Scam29 Oct 2004 17:33 GMT5
Quick google seems to suggest this hasn't been brought up here recently, so
as the Stupid Person of the Week, I figured I'd share this obvious piece of
advice:
Don't buy speakers from someone who approaches you in a parking lot.
Simple USB interface29 Oct 2004 16:00 GMT2

the same and what can be done about it? Does Leviton offer a fixed version
of this controller?

I've read NFPA 13-D and *think* that I can place sprinklers.
Just don't seem to be able to locate DIY residential
sprinklers.  Does anyone know where they can be found?
Throwing water at a fire seems like it would be a lot
Hardwiring my Hunter Douglas Powerrise Blinds29 Oct 2004 00:37 GMT3
I've installed Hunter Douglas Powerrise motorized blinds in my atrium
windows.  These blinds are battery operated and I would like to hook
them to an AC transformer instead.  I have 8 wire cabling run to all
