Security Camera/Monitor Pinouts31 Jul 2004 20:56 GMT1
I have a ADT security monitor that has 6 pin mini DIN female connectors on
the back for ADT cameras that have motion detection, audio(to listen from
mike on camera), and audio(to talk from monitor to speaker on ADT camera,
momentary, i.e. push to talk on monitor).  My problem is ...
Volume control w/ headphone jack30 Jul 2004 17:39 GMT2
I want to install a volume control in our bedroom as part of a remote
zone application. However, it would be nice if it also included a
headphone jack. The only "volume control/headphone jack" combination I
found was from Niles Audio (model SCW-2). Is there any other model
programming is own CM11 software30 Jul 2004 03:36 GMT2
I am currently programming a software to communicate with the interface
CM11a.
I have some problems to undersatnd how work the extended transmission and
the datasheet I found is not very clear on this subject :
Best X10 motion detector?29 Jul 2004 07:04 GMT3
I currently have a PR511 (the AC-powered model with floodlights).
It's okay -- better than the tiny ones with two AAA batteries (forget
the model), but I'd still like something with better sensitivity, and
I'm willing to pay more for it.
PR511 wiring for the motion vs lights part29 Jul 2004 02:50 GMT1
I have the PR511 and would like to know which wires are for the flood lights
and which wires are the motion sensor.
Want I wish to do is to control when the lights come and off, when motion is
detected thru my control software.
Residential Central Lighting28 Jul 2004 19:35 GMT16
We are in the process of renovating an old farm house, and I had this idea
for central lighting control.  I wanted to post it here and see if anyone
had ever tried this before, or what people's thoughts were.
My idea is to home-run each lighting fixture back to a central panel in ...
HAI Web-Link II and RC-80B thermostat28 Jul 2004 10:50 GMT1
I have an Omni II installed with the Web-Link II software.  Web-Link
II seems to be talking to everything exept the RC-80B thermostat.  I
am able to control the thermostat through the HAI keypad, so I'm
inclined to think it is a configuration issue, not a hardware issue.
Alarm contact detect28 Jul 2004 03:32 GMT1
In short version:  Does anyone know any freely available C source code
(Linux/POSIX)  for detecting whether the magnetic alarm contact is opened or
closed ?
In long version:  I have an SBC running Linux with Digital IO, these IO can
Elk M128 Jul 2004 00:14 GMT2
For pete's sake... Are Bass and I the only ones with an M1 ?
The manual barely scratches the surface of this RULES thing they have for
programming. I'm anxious for what folks are doing with it. I have the thing
announcing my ringing lines instead of actually having to listen to all ...
Does manufacture housing have the 2 phase problem27 Jul 2004 04:20 GMT2
I live in a 80' by 28' manufacture home and I bought a TX16b Thermostat to
use with my x10 system.  I have a X10 Powerhouse computer interface.  I am
having trouble with the 2 phase problem I think.  Will the SignaLinc Plug-in
Coupler-Repeater solve my problem?
Wireless TV access??27 Jul 2004 00:07 GMT10
I've got a customer who just moved into a new house.  Lots of
expensive wallcovering and hand painted murals.  (actually kinda cool)
They just got their cable TV service installed along with a cable
modem.  The problem is, there's only one RG6 drop on the entire 2nd
Are there discrete codes for CATV boxes26 Jul 2004 20:31 GMT1
I have 2 digital cable boxes (one SA 3100 and one Pioneer Voyager) in the
same equipment room. Both boxes feed to multiple TVs and can be remotely
controlled by an IR repeater from either location. The idea was to be able
to watch either source in either room depending on ...
Need some help26 Jul 2004 18:01 GMT24
I have a little problem in my house here, and I'm not sure exactly which
direction I'm going to go, so I'm throwing it out here for you to see what
experiences you've had and/or what you're doing or did to solve it.
I installed two new identical computers a little over a ...
pool pump25 Jul 2004 18:22 GMT19
I plan on automating my pool pump with a hardwired relay from an output on
Elk's new panel. I was doing it with x10 but it always gave me the creeps.
I'd like to set up rules so the pump won't start if it shouldn't, that sort
of thing.
Xanboo25 Jul 2004 15:54 GMT1
Is there any way to use Xanboo sensors without subscribing to the service?
They have some cheap water/motion sensors which would be great to use.
