| Volume control w/ headphone jack | 30 Jul 2004 17:39 GMT | 2 |
I want to install a volume control in our bedroom as part of a remote zone application. However, it would be nice if it also included a headphone jack. The only "volume control/headphone jack" combination I found was from Niles Audio (model SCW-2). Is there any other model

| Best X10 motion detector? | 29 Jul 2004 07:04 GMT | 3 |
I currently have a PR511 (the AC-powered model with floodlights). It's okay -- better than the tiny ones with two AAA batteries (forget the model), but I'd still like something with better sensitivity, and I'm willing to pay more for it.

I have the PR511 and would like to know which wires are for the flood lights and which wires are the motion sensor. Want I wish to do is to control when the lights come and off, when motion is detected thru my control software.

| Residential Central Lighting | 28 Jul 2004 19:35 GMT | 16 |
We are in the process of renovating an old farm house, and I had this idea for central lighting control. I wanted to post it here and see if anyone had ever tried this before, or what people's thoughts were. My idea is to home-run each lighting fixture back to a central panel in ...

| HAI Web-Link II and RC-80B thermostat | 28 Jul 2004 10:50 GMT | 1 |
I have an Omni II installed with the Web-Link II software. Web-Link II seems to be talking to everything exept the RC-80B thermostat. I am able to control the thermostat through the HAI keypad, so I'm inclined to think it is a configuration issue, not a hardware issue.

| Elk M1 | 28 Jul 2004 00:14 GMT | 2 |
For pete's sake... Are Bass and I the only ones with an M1 ? The manual barely scratches the surface of this RULES thing they have for programming. I'm anxious for what folks are doing with it. I have the thing announcing my ringing lines instead of actually having to listen to all ...

I live in a 80' by 28' manufacture home and I bought a TX16b Thermostat to use with my x10 system. I have a X10 Powerhouse computer interface. I am having trouble with the 2 phase problem I think. Will the SignaLinc Plug-in Coupler-Repeater solve my problem?

| Are there discrete codes for CATV boxes | 26 Jul 2004 20:31 GMT | 1 |
I have 2 digital cable boxes (one SA 3100 and one Pioneer Voyager) in the same equipment room. Both boxes feed to multiple TVs and can be remotely controlled by an IR repeater from either location. The idea was to be able to watch either source in either room depending on ...

I have a little problem in my house here, and I'm not sure exactly which direction I'm going to go, so I'm throwing it out here for you to see what experiences you've had and/or what you're doing or did to solve it. I installed two new identical computers a little over a ...

| pool pump | 25 Jul 2004 18:22 GMT | 19 |
I plan on automating my pool pump with a hardwired relay from an output on Elk's new panel. I was doing it with x10 but it always gave me the creeps. I'd like to set up rules so the pump won't start if it shouldn't, that sort of thing.

Is there any way to use Xanboo sensors without subscribing to the service? They have some cheap water/motion sensors which would be great to use. Jim
