RJ45 to 11003 Jan 2004 08:48 GMT2
Planning my phone wiring for the new house.  Missing link seems to be how to
get from the 110 block to the RJ45.  Is there a standard cable and where
would I find it.  I assume there is a matching pattern for the 110 block as
well.

Cadxx NX-8 Plastic backers02 Jan 2004 21:32 GMT1
I bought an Nx-8 Kit from ebay. Unfortunately, the little black plastic
mounting pieces that go begind the main board when you place it in the can

CM11A troubles!!!02 Jan 2004 20:15 GMT2
Are these things normally finicky and unreliable? I have a landscape lights
transformer located inside my garage which obviously doesn't allow me to use
it's photocell to turn it on and off. I was using a mechanical timer but
found it to be a pain to change the dusk time so often ...
wiring in ceiling speakers for two sources02 Jan 2004 14:24 GMT7
building a new house and I have a "loft" area which will have a tv/surround
sound system.  Is there anyway that I can feed the ceiling speakers from

Building New House: Seeking Advice/Recommendations02 Jan 2004 08:44 GMT1
I'm building a new house, and I would like some advice/recommendations.  I
don't have a huge equipment budget, and my labor pool is fairly
inexperienced with residential installations (i.e., the installers are much
more familiar with large commercial systems).

Speakervolume controllers01 Jan 2004 23:01 GMT2
I have a speaker question.
We pre-wired our home 3 years ago with RG-6 and Cat 5e.  We have six speaker
zones. There is CAT 5 running from each zone to the main stereo area.  The
idea was to eventually have speaker volume rheostats for each zone.
X-10 switch with timer01 Jan 2004 20:34 GMT2
Is there an X-10 product available that would put exterior garage
lights on a timer (numerical or astronomical)?
Omni II vs OmniPro II01 Jan 2004 18:56 GMT1
I'm building a new house and can't decide which of these units to
purchase. Besides being able to do more in terms of numbers are there
any other major advantages to the pro? I don't really need all the
extra expandability of the pro the main things I like about the pro
Source / prices for hard-wired lighting control switches01 Jan 2004 18:19 GMT3
I'me rewiring my house from scratch, and I'd like to consider
hard-wire alternatives to X10, to avoid problems with noise, filters,
lost commands, X10 commands from neighbors, etc. Since I'm pulling all
new wire, I figure that it won't be too much of a pain to pull
