What sort of LED controls can fit into such a small space?

I've used CM11A for some time now, gotten most of the bugs out.  Now my new
laptop doesn't have a serial port.  X10 says it's interfaces will not work
with USB to serial converters.  
Does anybody know how to talk to CM11a via USB?  Any other ideas?
