X10 (Leviton Floods)  "Ah Ha???"23 Dec 2003 03:26 GMT4
Been driven crazy by the actions of some Leviton motion detector floods
that seemed to suddenly _all_ exhibit the same problems.
The core problem seems to be that no matter what the time delay setting
is, the units power up and then down within a few seconds.

I have tried several lamp and appliance modules (disabled the local control
on all of them) with some T5 Fluorescent light units I have. The problem is
that them lights will still flicker and some times completely turn on even
when the app/lamp module is off.

Hey folks.  I'm know this question is probably a repeat for you all.

My first real task is to build a dawn simulator.  My problem is that
new small business?22 Dec 2003 19:22 GMT20
I'm thinking about starting up a small home automation business, and wanted
to ask for any tips or advice anyone could give me. I'm thinking of doing
a regular ecommerce site and selling home automation products. My focus
would be more towards next-generation products and NOT X10 ...

DIY IR remote speaker switcher22 Dec 2003 14:11 GMT4
Apparently it's too difficult to build an IR controlled speaker
switcher for the rest of us... Xantech and Niles have one, but at 4
times the price I'd like to spend. There is the HACS guy also but not
very encouraging.

Increase range of DS10A?22 Dec 2003 02:10 GMT2
I installed an X10 DS10A (wireless door/window sensor) inside my mailbox to
let me know when the mail has arrived.
I'm having problems receiving it's signals from inside my home.  The
contacts are mounted properly, and when I take the DS10A out of the mailbox
Multiple PR511's21 Dec 2003 11:38 GMT2
I am an absolute beginner at home automation, and have hit my first
road block.
I have two PR511 floodlights both set to A 1.  My intentions were if
one triggered due to motion then both would turn on.  When I had only
Wireless Audio Transmitters19 Dec 2003 16:43 GMT14
Can someone recommend a good wireless audio transmitter?  I forgot to get
an RCA cable run from my intercom system to the home theater/hifi so now I
need to wirelessly transmit CD audio to the intercom base station.
I'm looking for something better quality than X10's solution... ...
WS467 modification19 Dec 2003 03:09 GMT12
After checking Ido Bartana's site, and not finding an answer, I though I'd
post my question here.
I'd like to modify a couple of WS467 wall switches so that the power cut
slide switch only disables X10 signal traffic and not the power itself.  Is
