This Optex detector seems to have one of the best credentials for
outdoor as far as I learned, so now I have been looking for prices. I
see in a quick search an extremely wide price range of 65-199 $ per
unit.

FS: HALDeluxe Voice Home Automation Kit15 Nov 2003 23:11 GMT2
If you know what this is/does, you know how neat this system is.  These sell
for 239.00 and this one is version 1.3.23 software which is upgradable on
line to 1.3.81 (I believe) for free.  Here's a link that should answer any &
all questions about what it is & what it can do.

would like to automate the ability to black out the room.

Phone system suggestions14 Nov 2003 02:38 GMT7
I have a 4-year-old Siemens Gigaset 2.4 Gh phone system with 6 handsets.

connected to a computer running HaAL Deluxe.
