What sort of controller should I get for use with ALC?
I want something that can be controlled by my own software (preferably
through a dll/activeX control, but I can write a serial driver if I have

descriptions of some really fancy and large scale systems.

I am looking to automate several outside lights however I do not want to use
a light  / dusk sensor.  I would like to trigger based on the calculated

I'm in the process of selecting a whole house audio/video distribution
system.  The Russound CAV6.6 and the Xantech MRC44 look like ideal
candidates.  However, as far as I can tell, they dont support a local
source override like the Russound A-LC2/ABUS system.  Is there any way

I'm just getting my feet wet with HA.  I've got a CM11A controlled by Homeseer, and a Stanley tabletop four button controller.  The Stanley will turn on an appliance module anywhere in the house, but the CM11A can only manage devices plugged into the same circuit breaker.
