I am attempting a "clean install" on a laptop with only an
"interchangeable" drive.  A floppy or a CDrom drive NOT BOTH.
QUESTION:  If I boot from a Win98 disk with fdisk, and all other sys
files, then run fdisk followed by format.com, how can I get to reboot

Is it common for the IR emitter in a remote to go bad?  I've got a Hughes HRMC-9
RF remote for my DirecTV box.  It's suddenly decided not to send IR signals
anymore.  I opened it and found that it's delivering voltage to the LED on
keypresses but nothing's coming out.  At least, no ...

I read the new application note from Microchip that shows how to build
a fancy X10 module with load control and LCD display.  I see it
includes components to interface with the power line.
But, I think this is basically the simplest possible method.  What is

Is there any drawbacks to using multiple transceiver modules on the same
house code?  My remote doesn't work downstairs and I believe adding a
transceiver downstairs would solve the problem.
