I'm planning to install a whole house x10 blocker like: http://www.x10pro.com/pro/catalog/pzz01.xpnr.page5.html The X10 PZZ01 blocker also couples x10 signal between phases. My guess is that this is not desirable when used with a coupler/repeater.

What is the best way to increase the range of an X10 transceiver. Is there a problem with having multiple transceivers on the same house code throughout the house so as to make sure signals can be received anywhere inside or outside of the house.

What is a good economical coupler/repeater for X-10? I have seen them online from $40.oo to about $200.oo. Is it worth building one? I have seen several plans online but I have also seen a few posts about the home made circuits burning up.
