Well I had thought they might have been a bit later this year with it being such a cold winter but when I looked out of the window this morning I could see the tell-tale ripples on the pond. Went out and saw half a dozen or so frogs and one clump of spawn.

Having moved into a new property at the end of last summer, I am keen to erect a greenhouse in our new garden. We have a particular spot in mind but wondered if there was a particularly good position for a greenhouse. Any advice would be welcomed.

We are buying a house, and it is likely we will be at the place for around 3 or 4 years before moving. As such, I've been trying to figure out what plants to focus on. Obviously, we shouldn't really plant anything that takes 4+ years to mature.

I see in today's paper that Leonardslee has been sold by the Loder family to an East European buyer. It seems certain to close to the public but the current owners hope that the new owner will change his mind and decide that it is a garden that needs to be shared.
