Hi everyone,
A few months ago, my car had a major oil leak ( Rear Main Seal ), and
when I started it up, oil basically POURED right out in A STREAM, and my

Frogspawn here28 Feb 2010 19:06 GMT14
Well I had thought they might have been a bit later this year with it
being such a cold winter but when I looked out of the window this
morning I could see the tell-tale ripples on the pond.
Went out and saw half a dozen or so frogs and one clump of spawn.
Intensive Gardening Has My Interest28 Feb 2010 17:03 GMT1
Intensive gardening seems to produce great crops with many added
advantages to single row planting.  I'm going to give it a shot this
year.  I'm going to use a 50'x3 1/2' bed and see what happens as far as
the results.  I like the idea of NO wasted space!  My garden will be
Want to erect a greenhouse28 Feb 2010 13:03 GMT5
Having moved into a new property at the end of last summer, I am keen to
erect a greenhouse in our new garden.  We have a particular spot in mind but
wondered if there was a particularly good position for a greenhouse.
Any advice would be welcomed.
Water Feature28 Feb 2010 11:08 GMT3
I am contemplating installing a small water feature, perhaps
something with a drilled stone sitting on pebbles.
There seem to be some available as kits, alternatively parts can
be bought separately. I guess for the stone, getting this locally
woven netting source28 Feb 2010 08:20 GMT9
A number of years ago I purchased some netting, from the internet, to
keep the pigeons off my raised beds, unfortunately I cannot remember the
supplier. It has lasted well, and is woven from a cotton type of thread
rather than any sort of plastic. I have decided that I would like ...
Just Ignore Flamers In ANY Discuss Group!28 Feb 2010 06:51 GMT-
I have noticed that every discussion group always has it's share of
flamers.  People who are very unhappy with their lives and try their
best to drag others in the group down to their level.  It doesn't take
long to pick them out.  Myself,  I just ignore their rude posts.  I
To those of a sensitive nature please don't read28 Feb 2010 04:44 GMT23
This morning my cat  attacked a dove, the wing had been destroyed, I
believed the dove was dead. so I put it in a plastic bag.
Later in the morning my daughter went to put it in the bin! Unfortunately it
was alive. She screamed out to me.

good fruit/vegetable choices for 3-4 year stay?27 Feb 2010 17:31 GMT7
We are buying a house, and it is likely we will be at the place for
around 3 or 4 years before moving.  As such, I've been trying to figure
out what plants to focus on.  Obviously, we shouldn't really plant
anything that takes 4+ years to mature.

Nemaslug - used it?27 Feb 2010 10:52 GMT-
I am trying out nematodes (sp?) for the first time this year. They ar

about the dog/baby eating them (pellets not slugs, slugs are fine),

to germinate whereas it germinates wonderfully if just left to do its
thing).
