Almost 2 years ago, we hired a tree company to cut down  a 60 foot high
Chinese Elm with  24 inch trunk. Remaining stump is 3 inches high which
they filled grooves with chainsaw fuel. They guaranteed this would kill
the stump and prevent any regrowth. Not only has the stump  NOT ...

Gardening Mistake With Great Results30 Apr 2009 16:18 GMT10
Last fall I planted spinach for a fall crop, but waited too long and
cold hit before the leaves had gotten the size of eggs, and it refused
to grow any more.  I plopped milk cartons over the plants thinking it
might grow under the cloche-like thing, but it didn't.

nothing else!
Is this normal, or is the growth being checked by conditions in some way?

Premature review   Book  " jamie at home"30 Apr 2009 10:55 GMT7
A cookbook based on the four seasons.  Nothing so unique about that
except it only has recipes using stuff you can grow. Author recommends
seed saver's, Johnny's and more.  Sort of reflects "Omnivore's Dilemma"
and mentions wild game.

That's my herb patch at present. It'll develop over time. It was an
overgrown area. I got the strapping offspring to take off all the surface
weeds and I've put down a weed suppressant ...

Billy dreamed that he was lying in the gutter, his head hurt. "One of

Ain't this a kick in the head? If'n it ain't one thing, it be another.
I 'spose monsatano/novartis/sygenta/dow will soon be claiming the

thousands of Indian farmers committing suicide after being duped by
