Kiwi fruit.06 Sep 2008 18:38 GMT3
I have a Kiwifruit plant which I grew from seed which grows (and
flourishes) during the begining of Autumn right through to begining
of Spring then it closes down all Summer. No leaves no growth!
I keep it inside on a window ledge in the same pot as my bay leaf tree.

We have a newport plum in the front yard here in Denver. Looked pretty
for a few days in the spring but never fruited much. This year though
it is about ready to snap in half from all the fruit. We don't want
the fruit and have had no success in finding people to pick it for

We had both Japonica and Sasanqua Camillias  in NC before we moved here,

I've recently planted some lettuce seeds in the hopes of them
sprouting into lovely plants ..
Perhaps I'm a little anxious, but the seeds have not yet sprouted and
I'm worried it might be a bit too cold for them at the moment ..
Tenman! Alaorii question06 Sep 2008 00:24 GMT9
Tennis, how'd you get your L alaorii to grow?  Mine just lingers.  A new
growth and then it dies back. I've tried clay and moss, caly and fine bark,
now its in plastic and fine bark....

South east England. A mature tree and this year a bumper crop. Last year's
problem of bitter pit was solved by advice from this Newsgroup recommending
spraying by calcium. This year perfect large fruits harvested by hand
develop large brown patches within days of picking. Could ...
$500 a plate spaghetti sauce05 Sep 2008 23:34 GMT15
I've had my worst harvest ever, the only thing that did well this year was
my blueberry bushes and my cucumbers. Most of my tomato plants died, those
that didn't have only produced enough tomatoes for a couple of quarts of
sauce (thus the $500/plate estimate). I don't think the ...
