O T  Resizing Pictures10 Sep 2008 10:45 GMT18
This is a MUST HAVE site, so easy to resize pics to send or attach.
http://www.resize2mail.com/
It really seems to work well and no fees or registration is required.
You just have to save back the smaller size pics back to your computer
Armadillo Advice Sought10 Sep 2008 04:32 GMT28
Every night around sundown an armadillo comes on to my spread and
starts rooting around for grubs and such.  Its playing hell with the
ti plants, and now its started to dig up one of my prized sago palms.
I thought about sending the hounds after it, but I hear they spread
Hydrangea10 Sep 2008 01:30 GMT17
Why did my Hydrangea stop blooming? It gets about 4ft high, nice and green
but "no blooms" anymore.

Seeds from Blue Hibiscus10 Sep 2008 00:43 GMT3
My two plants make a lot of seeds after blooming.  I gathered and
planted them, but nothing came up.
Is this normal?  IOW, can I grow new plants from seed?
Tx for your wisdom.
Low Divided Kitchen Sinks?????09 Sep 2008 22:40 GMT1
We have been looking at kitchen sinks and it seems a big thing out
there lately is the sinks with the low divider wall between the
sections.  I can see the point of this as I hate it when you place a
pan in a regular deep sink and the handle keeps it up on a steep
onion seeds09 Sep 2008 21:11 GMT5
Anybody up north ever try planing onion seeds in the winter right before
the ground freezes?  I never have much luck growing onion seeds (I
always get them in the ground too late if I direct sow, and planting
them in a flat doesn't work well for me) but I often get volunteer ...
Propagating Horsetail09 Sep 2008 17:23 GMT18
I have a slightly unusual horsetail problem.
Our local nature reserve has some wood horsetail, which is quite common,
but not around here, so for us it's quite special.
Unfortunately, it's growing in a area where it might be vulnerable.
Palin and environment09 Sep 2008 14:59 GMT55
Please help me make a decision.
Palin is John McCain's running mate.
1.  Specifically, what has she done for the environment?  What?
2. Specifically, what is she going to do for the environment if elected?
Fennel bulbs09 Sep 2008 14:46 GMT4
I sowed a couple of rows of fennel bulbs for the first time earlier
this summer.  They have put on nice healthy foliage and are now
starting to form flowers, but the "bulb" end is no thicker than 2
fingers on the larger ones.  Should I wait for it to thicken out?  Or
Dividing / Relocating Crocosmia.09 Sep 2008 13:12 GMT47
I have a clump of Crocosmia which has been in the way when I access my
runner beans, and I propose to move the corms to a border in the front
garden, for an easy colour splash next summer.
The online info I found says "divide between March and May" so I'm too
Amazon Lily, Eucharist Lily09 Sep 2008 10:39 GMT1
This plant is said to be easily found,
but all I can find  in mail order nurseries are some small bulbs at large
prices.
Does anyone have one they are getting ready to divide?  I would pay mailing
sand for lawn depressions question (follow up)09 Sep 2008 08:13 GMT2
I promised that I would post a follow up to my question about using
sand to level depressions in my lawn caused bt the extreme drought in
my area, NE Alabama:
I used the sand to fill the depressions in my yard and it worked
Deer and Roses08 Sep 2008 23:58 GMT6
I am now having problems wit deer after 35 years of growing roses. Some
said to try urine.  Has anyone had success with urine, how is it applied
and how often?
Thanks,
Brush Clearing08 Sep 2008 21:29 GMT3
I have never really cleared much brush.  What little I have done has
been done with a chainsaw, loppers, and what I used to think was a
pretty big chipper/vacuum.  I live in the 'burbs but I have a 1.2 acre
lot with, maybe, half of it wooded and wild.  Actually, it's worse than
