Petrol lawn mower help.30 Sep 2008 23:22 GMT11
I have a Briggs & Stratton petrol lawn mower, my other half was using it to
cut the grass and caught the metal drain cover.
When I try and start it it makes a clunking sound as it rotates but will not
start.It also feels a bit `heavier` when pulling the rope to start it.

Live in northeast Florida and basically have sand for my soil.  Put down
several bags of compost to form a hill, planted watermelon seed, and
expected with fertilizer to reap a bountiful harvest.  Getting a few
watermelons but some of them seem to develop rot from laying on the ...

How have you all done with your pumpkins and squashes this year?
Ours are excellent, the pumpkins have grown well without constant water and
we have just harvested 43 full sized ripe butternuts from 6 plants. Needless
to say we have already started giving them away.

Is this a good time to prune? I have a bush - Brides Bouquet? This has
got a little large how far can I cut back? Is it ok to go for anything
mow (Weather good for being outside of course)

We've recently moved home, and in the garden there was a very old grap
vine, it's beautiful and intend on keeping it.  This year we ha
hundreds of bunches of grapes however the grapes only grow to the siz
of small peas (red grapes).  I was wondering if there was anything tha

want to  splurge on a large watertank 9000 - 20000litres. Really
confused what to get,  I want the best value tank that will last at

Bought this plant in B&Q but have no idea what it is as I threw away th

Another question about the plants in my new garden..
We've got this maple (I think) growing very close to the house.  I
comes out of the ground just 4 inches or so away from the wall.  
can't imagine why someone would have purposely planted it like that

I live in the Pacific Northwest and the next few months we
won't be able to harvest lettuce in the garden. Being we have
a grow light system for seeding in Feb to April, I thought
we'd try to use this system for growing salad greens now.

We have several oak trees in our neighbourhood, where we have lived for over
