I have a Briggs & Stratton petrol lawn mower, my other half was using it to cut the grass and caught the metal drain cover. When I try and start it it makes a clunking sound as it rotates but will not start.It also feels a bit `heavier` when pulling the rope to start it.

Live in northeast Florida and basically have sand for my soil. Put down several bags of compost to form a hill, planted watermelon seed, and expected with fertilizer to reap a bountiful harvest. Getting a few watermelons but some of them seem to develop rot from laying on the ...

How have you all done with your pumpkins and squashes this year? Ours are excellent, the pumpkins have grown well without constant water and we have just harvested 43 full sized ripe butternuts from 6 plants. Needless to say we have already started giving them away.

Another question about the plants in my new garden.. We've got this maple (I think) growing very close to the house. I comes out of the ground just 4 inches or so away from the wall. can't imagine why someone would have purposely planted it like that

I live in the Pacific Northwest and the next few months we won't be able to harvest lettuce in the garden. Being we have a grow light system for seeding in Feb to April, I thought we'd try to use this system for growing salad greens now.
