| Snakes? Deterrent tips to keep them away | 25 Aug 2008 00:08 GMT | 10 |
Perhaps you enjoyed “Snakes on a Plane” as an entertaining movie. But it’s a whole less fun when it’s snakes in your home’s foundation, as this reader discovered. QUESTION: “How does one get rid of snakes without poisoning pets? The

So after a gruesome summer of watching one napole after another shrivel up and blow away, I'm down to my last one. Anecdotally, I've been told to just lie the napole on the ground and it will root. This hasn't worked.

Do you recall that a few weeks ago you and I had a disagreement about the use of fresh manure? Well, since then, I've decided that I needed to do some research on the topic of manure and the injunction that "thou shalt not use fresh manure as

At the risk of starting a new thread on peppers (no fruit here ...) I have some jalapenos and habs that I put in in April (Central Texas). They were a little slow getting started, but now they are almost four feet high, lush and green, and have produced ... nothing. No, I didn't

| Vegetable Squash Question | 23 Aug 2008 19:36 GMT | 16 |
My son has just come back from Italy and he tells me the Italians have a small light green courgette type of squash that is less watery than a courgette and a firmer texture. He wasn't sure of the name - something like Trumpetti?? but I cannot find any reference to it on the net.
