zucchini x pumpkin28 Aug 2008 05:02 GMT5
According to Wikipedia, dome types of pumpkin and zucchini are the
same species. supposedly that means they can cross breed (if i
remember my biology correctly).  has anyone ever grew a hybrid?
purposefully or not. just curious what that fruit would look like.
Fall planting: your plants will thank you next spring!28 Aug 2008 00:40 GMT1
Professional gardeners and landscapers know an important “trick of the

Gypsy Moth Eggs27 Aug 2008 19:52 GMT1
We had a pretty bad infestation of Gypsy Moths this summer, but it
wasnt really bad enough to totally defoliate the trees. However, next
year promises to be another story. There are litterally thousands of
egg masses everywhere you look.
burnt out lawn27 Aug 2008 17:47 GMT8
I live in the New England area.  My lawn is almost 90 percent brown.
I don't see any other lawns on my street burnt to this degree.  My
landscaper tells me this is normal - that there is a drought going on

Is my plum tree a killer?27 Aug 2008 17:35 GMT1
In the spring my lovely plum tree that has survived everything puts
out sticky stuff that coats its leaves.  Nothing will grow in the area

Lawnmower storage27 Aug 2008 17:34 GMT14
What`s the best way to store a lawnmower for the coming winter?
Should I change the oil now or wait untill spring? What about sta-bil?
Last year I started all of the small engines once a month. That seemed
to work but sometimes was a real pain. What do y`all do?

there were once many golf courses in the area at one time.  They
Fall planting potatoes?27 Aug 2008 14:31 GMT3
Has anyone ever tried any extensive fall planting of potatoes in
AgCanada or USDA Zone 5 or 6?
The reason I ask is the fact that we obviously missed some potatoes
when digging the 2007 crop and they appeared as volunteers this year.
