| blackflies on runner beans | 05 Aug 2008 16:15 GMT | 7 |
I am growing some beans and they have patches of black flies on. The beans seem to be growing regardless. Should I be worried or is it just a cosmetic problem? I would think that if the flies are drinking sap or something, they are using energy that the plant would otherwise use

| Hydrangea moisture requirements workaround? | 05 Aug 2008 13:42 GMT | 7 |
I'm going to plant a Hydrangea Serrata in the best position I can offer it, with morning sun and aternoon shade, but the soil is not going to be moist if I just plant it there and do nothing else. I can water it of course... But I wonder what else I could do. I can put pieces of ...

| Am I too late | 05 Aug 2008 12:25 GMT | 8 |
Have just discovered some dahlias and begonias in shoe boxes in the garage where I put them to store last year. They all have 3 - 4 inch shoots on them. If I plant them now - in pots - will they do anything this season?

| Fun ways to use Cayenne pepper | 04 Aug 2008 18:15 GMT | 1 |
I found a really easy way to make Fradiavlo sauce today! I just took one of the big green Cayenne peppers from my garden, chopped it into 4 equal pieces and dropped them into a pot of store bought sauce. The sauce is a really good Marinara that I love anyway.
