Back on the subject of gardening....is there any specific/best time to plant fall crops? I'm interested in cabbage, brocolli, etc., which take up to 90 days to produce. I'm guessing mid August they should be seeded, and the end of august for root/green veggies? Anybody that has ...

We have about a dozen tomato plants (Cherokee Purple, Better Boy, Super Marmandes, Brandy Boy). Lots of good-sized tomatoes ... all GREEN. It's been a wet summer, which I suspect it will continue to be. And, we're losing sun anyway.
