Avocado question02 Jul 2008 23:58 GMT9
I am in the SE corner of South Australia. I have a fairly large avocado
tree, about 11 years old, grown from a pip (maybe a Hass, those are the
most common ones we get in the shops here) that I planted in what must
have been just the right sheltered spot.
Rhubarb question02 Jul 2008 22:59 GMT10
I found some rhubarb off in the corner of my property that had put up
seedstalks. I cut them off, but by the time I got to them, they were mostly
dead. Three of the plants consist of dead stalk and dead leaves, and the
other two are mostly dead and have one or two leaves that are ...

Where are my strawberries?02 Jul 2008 17:56 GMT5
I have a couple of dozen strawberry plants but no strawberries. I assume
that something is eating them before they have a chance to develop, but
what? Also I've only seen the starts of a few berries so maybe my plants
aren't producing at all. The plants look healthy, they just ...

Getting rid of a mole02 Jul 2008 15:24 GMT15
Hi all - I haven't tried to poison this damned thing, but I have tried
one of the mole guillotines to no avail. A friend at work suggested used
kitty litter sprinkled around tunnel entrances- apparently the cat urine
scares moles away. Sounds logical to me, but before I subject ...

Yeah, I have noticed many trees where I live that have bark which is
covered in white spots. What's that all about?
