Does any body have some success stories to tell in regard to using the
following product to control birds:

Highgrove29 Jul 2008 03:25 GMT58
Today we visited Prince Charles's garden at Highgrove.  Ray went about 4
years ago but I'd never been.  It was a 'special' visit in that it was a
group which had bid for entry in an auction at a Prince's Trust 'do' in
various parts of the UK and my son had done this and given it to ...
What's wrong with my Boxelder (Acer Negundo)?29 Jul 2008 03:12 GMT3
My tree is dropping tons and tons of leaves. We've had a very wet
Spring and Summer here in NW Arkansas. Here is a link to some close-
ups of the leaves. The yellow detached leaves fell from the tree
today. The green leaves were pulled from the tree. I'm trying to
Planting sweet peas29 Jul 2008 02:59 GMT1
I was at a friends house yeaterday and she had lovely sweet peas in
her garden.  I asked her when she planted them and she said that it
was only a few weeks ago.
Is it too late to plant these?  It's still quite warm here in
Poppy issue29 Jul 2008 01:55 GMT42
Bought some poppies in Bunnings.
Planted facing westerly sun, carp fertiliser (smelly brown stuff mixed
with water).
Trouble is, either the flowers are very small, or they only half open,
Quality Artificial Stone for Pond Development29 Jul 2008 00:15 GMT3
I am a newcomer to this forum.
I am in the final stages of a large garden redevelopment project (ove
3 years since started). [Maybe I should post it's development on
website once completed?]
Privet causing a "dead line"?28 Jul 2008 23:23 GMT25
I am new to this house. The garden faces south and along the front is
privet hedge 6 ft high and 1 ft thick. I have planted plants just to
the north of it which I expected to grow and they have not grown or
grown poorly. This has happened so often that I have come to suspect

NOW what??? dead skunk in garden28 Jul 2008 22:12 GMT18
Last Tuesday I discovered a skunk in my culvert trying to feast on my
recycling. It walked funny and grumbling - no doubt rabies or  other
ailment.
I backed away and called Animal Control - who may or may not have shown up.

Whitefly and spider mite infestation28 Jul 2008 18:00 GMT35
OK guys, my tomatoes are still covered with whitefly and their small green
babies that look like minute aphids. My friend, looking at them today, said
she believes they also have spider mites.  Her eyesight is better than mine.
The NeemOil did almost nothing nor did the Seven dust ...
Triffids28 Jul 2008 17:12 GMT6
Which is better, the 1963 version of "Day of the Triffids", or the 1981
British mini-series?  (I haven't seen either yet, nor read the book.  I
do know it's not supposed to have a "happily ever after" ending.)  Thanks.

fruit acidity28 Jul 2008 16:17 GMT23
Is there any way of reducing the acidity of fruit other than by
smothering it with pounds of sugar? I'm wondering if there's any cooking
method or other treatment available to the ordinary person. I like the
very tart fruits like gooseberries, blackcurrant and rhubarb (nominal
