Copper spray21 Jul 2008 13:57 GMT1
I've sprayed my peach trees with home made Burgundy mix (a variant on
Bordeaux) and was wondering how long copper sprays have to be on the plant
to be effective?
We got a very light shower within 24 hours of application but I can

Questions about pumpkins21 Jul 2008 11:31 GMT12
Years ago my father used to grow pumpkins in his front yard. They'd
grow thick and lush and he'd have enough to eat, put away, and give to
the neighborhood kids for halloween.
I thought I'd try the same thing in my front yard this year but didn't

I have a standard bay tree that is around 7 or 8 years old and is in
pot outside the front of my house. I think that it has suffered fros

Pepper problems21 Jul 2008 06:53 GMT12
Maybe someone can shed light on this problem. We're in zone 6a, almost
online with 7a and our garden is thriving this year. That is, everything but
the peppers. I have regular bell and the colored types including a few
pimentos. Of the 18 plants only 3 have a few peppers. The rest ...

Cultivators20 Jul 2008 21:09 GMT2
For a veggie garden - any recommendations on a small easy to use cultivator?
I have a bit of a physical problem and lots of birthdays and am wondering if
one might help me. All of the online ads promote ones that are pretty heavy
and I guess there is no such thing an electric one ...
Fertilizer20 Jul 2008 20:29 GMT1
I've been using a free "natural liquid fertilizer" in my garden this
year, and things are growing great -- a little late because of the the
weather, but great just the same.  But I think the stuff is rather
deficient in phosphorus.  I have a 50 pound bucket of triple
Ground Cover20 Jul 2008 18:47 GMT6
I plan to sell my house in 2009.  The grass, front
and back, is a bad mix of whatever.  Rather than
having it torn up and relaced with rolls of grass,
I'd like to tear it up and replace it with plugs
Potato Problem20 Jul 2008 18:15 GMT6
Can anybody tell me why my friend's potatoes are so distorted please? They
have what is almost a warped swastika shape deeply embedded in the tuber.
They are rocket potatoes and ones at another end of the allotment are ok.
There are miniscule white grubs in the ones she found ...
Weeping Pussy Willow Tree20 Jul 2008 16:55 GMT7
I live in a zone 8 (SC) still have pretty decent soil.  I bought a
small weeping pussy willow tree this year.  It's doing well.....so
well I have a question.
The main trunk of the tree was around 20 inches tall, probably an inch
orchid ID20 Jul 2008 15:56 GMT5
Could you help me identify this orchid I've just bought?
Nothing at all on the label and without at least the species name, it's
quite difficult to search the web.
Thanks!
Rooting20 Jul 2008 08:07 GMT1
How do you root a cutting of a plant?  I will look up the information
on-line, but I wondered if anyone has a great technique.
