For the second year running, I appear to be losing my entire gooseberry crop to mildew. As the berries grow, they get covered in the stuff, even though no other part of the plant is affected. I have a Whinham's Industry (worst affected)

It is really wild here today. Wind is gusting so strongly it has overturned a heavy hardwood three seater bench, overturned several pots and smashed one of them, broken a 4" dia bough from the Tulip tree and completely flattened

I have a very good Acer palmatun disectum which is around 8 years of age, and it has had one stem die back this spring and a second now looks as if it is going the same way, its in a 15inch pot, good drainage.
