We have an acre lot in west central Florida and palmettos are the norm just about everywhere. I have dug up some 'infestations' and they never come back but you have to dig them out completely. A few places in our lot the palmettos have sprung up at the base of nice southern

It looks like I may have some squash vine borers and was wondering if anyone knew of a local source for BT to inject into the vines to kill off the little bastards.

Well the garden did, the house did, the kids thought it was "kewl" but the truck has a cracked windshield. I know we were lucky and the teenaged son was beaned by a pea sized piece....

My garden is just starting to get ripe slicing size tomatoes and it turns out we get to share them with the 4 young squirrels we thought were so cute just yesterday. We got half of three tomatoes and the squirrels got the other half :-(

I moved to my current house at the beginning of this year. There are couple of trees in the garden, but as we have gone through spring one o them has failed to grow any leaves. It did have a small sprout at th end of one branch right at the beginning of spring but this soon died.
