My auxiliary computer went toes up yesterday so I can't respond directly to the OP about bananas in region 6 but the long and the short of it is, that if it freezes where the bananas are, it ain't gonna happen. Sorry:o(

I am new to the site and gardening for that matter. My lawn is dow about 18months now and while there is good grass there is also a hug amount of weeds. My question, is there anything I can put on the law that will kill off the weeds but not the grass.

I am growing tomato plants in containers and have a question for you all. When the plant stops producing tomatoes and the plant is still green, is it wise to pull out the plant and start with a new plant?

My lush, green fast growing lawn had weeds and moss patches so I applied Lawn Feed & Moss Killer granules (nitrogen & potassium oxide). I followed the instructions to a tee and watered the lawn after 48 hours. The weeds and the moss have disappeared but so has my lawn!

Can anyone suggest a plant to put in a half oak barrel , preferences .not to big and that it will survive all year as i live a stones thro from the north east coast so if ever theres a cold north easterl blowing the plant will get the brunt of it............THANK

I've seen this sort of strange growth on tomatoes before. I read a line or two in a book that seemed to suggest tangentally that over fertilization of some kind might be responsible for this. However, I want some confirmation because it was very anecdotal.

I have had rugosa roses in the backyard for two years now, and they have not yet bloomed! Hips on one (delicata) but that was it. Does anyone know what is up? the soil is 3/4 regular dirt, 1/4 sandy soil. PS No, I don't think it's deer! ;-)
