recovers, or dig it up, the leaves are all small and turned in ...

What grass seed for...09 Jun 2008 19:43 GMT1
I am dressing my back lawn with the intentions of re seeding it.

suitable for hot dry conditions in summer (back is a sun trap), and cold
wet, maybe water logged in winter. Also some shaded areas as well.

Hello Orchid Fans,
I have a small favor to ask.  Would someone who has the Orchid awards
from way back when please look up Aranda Floraweb "Kensington"?  I
believe it got a CCM in the 70's.  I finally have it in spike after 5
Creosote railroad ties09 Jun 2008 19:06 GMT1

using them to form raised beds?

Did anyone see the River Cottage programme last week, the one in which Hugh
Fearnley-Whittingstall makes dandelion & burdock beer? Can you remember how
much of each root (it just looked like a small handful) and whether he used
anything else apart from sugar and yeast? The other ...

I have an established lawn.  The outer edge is brick and the inner edge is
wood.  The wood is at ground level but over time the wood gets covered with
dirt.
The other side of the wood border is a flowerbed.  The grass and weeds tend

Gardeners world09 Jun 2008 14:19 GMT2
Like some of the comments recently,I too find Gardeners World very
poor these days.Whilst we wish Monty Don a speedy recovery,he has not
really been very good at presenting the programme. There is very little
in the programme now concerning how to garden successfully, and very

Houttuynia cordata09 Jun 2008 11:25 GMT3
Does anyone know how to eliminate this invasive "perennial"? Roundup has
little effect......constant pulling seems to increase it....its all over
my daylily bed so I cannot do major damage to the soil.

grow into fruiting trees. The way round this would seem to be to cut
