has anyone here in the group had any experience with those gizmos that you stick in the ground to measure the moisture content 6 or 8 inches down? Do they work? The ones I see seem pretty cheap; does that mean they're crap? Chas

| Bummed - what the heck happened | 11 Jun 2008 21:05 GMT | 6 |
Potted up a small container (coir lined basket actually) with a sun tolerant coleus, a million bells and some zinnias (the colors worked) late last week. They looked fine until Monday when the heat wave really hit - now they are crisped to less than an inch of their lives. I figure ...

| Which end of seed goes into ground first? | 11 Jun 2008 17:33 GMT | 9 |

| Weed/Plant identification. | 11 Jun 2008 09:47 GMT | 18 |
Would someone kindly identify this weed/plant for me. It is about 18" tall, has leaves very similar to those of a foxglove and at first sight it could easily be mistaken for a foxglove. Its flowers are almost identical to those of a Lithodora 'Heavenly Blue'.
